Towards Community Media Development
The Private Editors is a non-Government Organization in media and communications dealing with community media in developing countries.
Our team consists of grass-root media activists currently working on a citizen journalism project www.panyingkul.com - the first Indonesian version of its kind launched on July 1st, 2006. We also conduct several radio talk-shows every week in Makassar, the most important city in eastern Indonesia.
Our mission is to:
1. Eliminate media illiteracy
2. Bridging the digital divide in rural areas
3. Encourage local community to become more active in media & communications activities
